Recipe Schedule

If you purchased a copy of our fall edition of The Well Journal, you've seen the delicious recipes written by Courtney Stogsdill in it. Maybe you want to recreate her feast for your family this holiday season but you're not sure where to begin. Knowing when to put what dish in the oven can be tricky, so below is the timing Courtney uses to make her holiday menu. There are a lot of moving parts with even a simple holiday meal, so printing out this timing sheet can save your day, especially if you aren’t used to cooking large meals.

The schedule above assumes you have the day off of work to cook. If you don’t have that luxury, scrap the schedule and do the following instead:

  1. put the ham on before work and let it hang out on “warm” until you get home,
  2. fully bake the hashbrown casserole and roast the butternut squash the day before and refrigerate
  3. make the green beans while the hashbrown casserole and butternut squash reheat in the oven
  4. caramelize the ham under the broiler just before serving
